It was an honour to capture such an important milestone moment for this little girl. Baby’s 100 Days is a Chinese custom, 100 days after the baby’s birth, relatives and friends will send gifts (clothes, pants, necklace, bracelets, tiger shoes, hats) for the baby. This is an important day for the baby because 100 days birth celebration represents the wish that the baby will live 100 years. This was my first time capturing baby’s first 100 days photos, and it was a pleasure!

This adorable little girl is one of our Peace Arch Hospital babies!!! Gemini Visuals is a proud supporter of Peace Arch Hospital and offer exclusive newborn packages for babies born at their new maternity ward! And for each newborn session we donate a portion of the sitting fee back to the hospital. This little one did a great job, and slept lots. We were able to incorporate dad’s old cowboy hat into her newborn photos as a special keepsake.

It was tough to top her big sisters cake smash session – she laughed uncontrollably after she got cake up her nose, and she had a gorgeous cake!  But Leah’s Cake Creations did an incredible job on little sister’s cake! Loved the Jasmine flowers she created perfect for this little 1 year old! She was a lot happier at her cake smash session then she was for her baby photos at 9 months. It’s been a pleasure capturing all her and her sister’s milestone photos. Both did our baby’s first year package the Belly to Baby Complete Package, including maternity, newborn, 6 month and cake smash photos. It’s a great package to capture the most important milestones in baby’s first year.

This family is always full of character. I had the pleasure of photographing both their children’s newborn photos, and they’ve returned each year for my annual Christmas mini sessions. They are always full of great faces, even when this little man was teething like crazy! It was awesome to be able to do some outdoor family photos for them at Blackie Spit Park in Surrey BC. We had a beautiful spring BC day, to capture these fantastic family keepsakes! This lovely lady is also my Chiropractor at Living Wellness in South Surrey. Always happy to see her!

When this family had their session it had been a year full of newborn little girls, so it was a pleasure to have this baby boy come in for his newborn session. It was interesting trying to get their little dog into the photos to pose with him. It’s fun having families bring in their pets to include with their portraits. It’s handy to have a large studio space as well to accommodate pets and give them some space to roam around.

This little cutie is one of our older newborns. Not quite a newborn anymore at 3 months, as she was able to sit in a chair!! We still managed to get some adorable sleeping images for her baby photos. She had lots of smiles in her photos at first, but then needed a nap. We got some great family photos as well at this session. Not everyone can make it in for their newborn photos, which are typically done within the first 3 weeks. The ideal time is in the first 2 weeks, but I will take babies of all ages for photos. It’s a tradition for some families to not leave the house at first with baby, so I often get older newborns for photos. Any age still makes for adorable baby photos!

This beautiful little girl is the youngest of 3, all of which I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for years. Newborn sessions, 5 month sessions, annual minis, Christmas minis, and cake smash sessions! She did better then her brother did with her cake smash session. She was quick to go from tears to smiles as she didn’t want to be away from mom, but she was still happy to give us lots of smiles.

It took a lot of coaxing from myself and my very persistent assistant, but we managed to get her eating the cake! She wasn’t a big fan at first. We managed to get great shots of her for this major milestone photo session. I love that my signature chair that has been in all of her siblings photos as well, was her happy place! As long as the chair was nearby she was happy. These are some of my favourite cake smash session photos.

Last year we had a wonderful family come in for their Baby’s First Year package. We did their newborn session for their 2nd son, and did the whole family for an outdoor session for his 6 month, and then back to the studio for his cake smash. Well this little beauty is their adorable little baby girl cousin! Love having our loyal clients refer us to their families.

This mama has also booked her Baby’s First Year package. So we will see her back soon for her 6 month session!

This handsome baby boy is the nephew of one of my other long time clients. Client referrals are such a big part of business, and a great sign I have so many happy clients! I appreciate every family member and friend they refer! Mama loved these newborn photos so much she ordered one of our professional print packages along with collage included with her session. We offer professional, fully custom prints, canvases, plaque mount collages and prints, and custom album!

We did this outdoor fall mini session at one of my favourite locations, Blackie Spit Park at Crescent Beach in South Surrey BC. I love this place, and it made for some stunning photos of this beautiful family and their dog lovingly dubbed “awkward dog”.

You may recognize this family’s oldest daughter if you’ve looked through my dance school galleries at all. Her mom is the owner of Defy Gravity Dance Studio in Richmond B.C.

I’ve had the pleasure of doing their photo day dance photos for years now, and it’s been great watching these kids grow up!

We had a blast with this session, and lucked out with some great weather for these fall family photos!
