Maternity photoshoots are a very special occasion for us to be a part of. In these sessions, Mamas to be are usually 1-2 months away from their due date. The goal of these are to capture mamas feeling their most beautiful and confident. At 7-8 months pregnant, finding clothes can already be a challenge, so we wanted to take that burden away from our clients during their shoot with us.
We started building our custom maternity gown closet several years ago, and have slowly added to the collection, bringing on different designers ranging from local designers to international brands. Most of these dresses are specifically made for maternity photography. It gives our clients the option to have a more glamorous look, to ensure that they feel comfortable and beautiful. We want the experience to be as effortless as possible for our clients.
Sew Trendy was the very first company we used to start our maternity gown collection. This designer is a family owned business that began in 2012 and have now become a leader in the industry. Some of their gowns are a little more versatile and can also be used for dance sessions as well. The materials range from lighter sheer fabrics to thicker, fuller gowns that are perfect for winter shoots. One of our absolute favourite gowns is the Celine Gown. It is a gorgeous mermaid style dress with a tulle skirt with an adjustable sweetheart neckline. It is one of our most popular and is made to fit all body types. You can even sneak leggings and boots under the dress in the winter, and no one would even know!
