Since recent world events have changed the way most companies are conducting business, many of the dance schools that Adrienne photographs were not able to do a traditional dance photo day as they had in previous seasons. Of course, we all must have the ability to be agile and adjust, and so dance school Richmond Academy of Dance did a private, socially-distanced photo session for their graduates at their studio in Richmond. We were originally scheduled for outdoors at Gary Point Park but unpredictable weather had us moving the session to indoors at the school.

Many of these teens have been with the studio since they were young dancers. Adrienne has spent several years doing photo day at RAD and it has been fun to watch the kids grow up and get to know them over the years. Many of the kids she has photographed since they were small little dancers.

For this photoshoot, each dancer received a headshot and then another photo doing creative pose that represented their favourite type of dance. It was really fun to see how each dancer represented their favourite style of dance.
Like all of the dancers of 2020, these Richmond Academy of Dance Grads certainly did not get the final dance year that they expected or deserved. However, being able to give them one final dance photoshoot, and a headshot that they can use going forward, seemed like a fitting way to send them off.

If your dance studio or organization has an idea for a socially-distanced photo session, we are currently booking into September 2020. We’re currently quite flexible, and can certainly can work with you to come up with options.
